Ratings are not interchangeable
Baltimore Life reports B++ (Good) from AM Best and A− from KBRA. These agencies use different scales. Aetna-branded products can be issued by different legal entities; confirm the insurer and its current rating on the actual proposal.
What a rating can and cannot tell you
Financial strength ratings are opinions about an insurer’s ability to meet obligations, not guarantees of future performance or a recommendation for a particular policy. Ratings can change. Review the precise issuing company, contract, exclusions, premium, and benefit timing.
